Spruce Pine, this one is for you.

I wanted this piece to feel like stepping back into another time, when the old gas pumps stood out front, Coca-Cola signs hung above the door, and places like this were part of the everyday landscape of a small community.

That’s what I love so much about drawing the places around us. They aren’t just buildings. They hold stories, memories, and pieces of the people who called these communities home long before us.
