Renaissance Stadium

Before the University of North Alabama’s new stadium became a reality, I found myself wondering a simple question: “What if it had been built a century earlier?”

The University of North Alabama is known for its timeless campus architecture, where red brick, limestone, arches, and towers create a sense of history that has endured for generations. While the stadium that is being built as I type this reflects modern design, this drawing imagines an alternate vision. One in which the home of the lions was built during the renaissance revival era, harmonizing with the historic character of campus.

From the prominent clock tower overlooking the entrance to the classical arches, domes, and grand stone façade, ever element was intentionally designed to celebrate the architectural language already found throughout UNA. This is not reconstruction of history, but an exploration of what could have been.
